During today’s meeting, the legislature has decided upon the extension of the implementation period of the National Integrity and Anticorruption Strategy for 2017-2021.
Thus, the provisions of the National Integrity and Anticorruption Strategy shall be implemented until 2023.
The operation of the amendments referring to the extension of the of the implementation period of the National Integrity and Anticorruption Strategy is conditioned by the several factors that have influenced the good development of the process. Among them are coming into force of the strategy later, the elections that delayed the creation process of the working body of the Parliament of the previous legislature.
As well, the epidemiological situation in the country compromised the realization of a number of strategic actions planned for 2020-2021.
At the same time, it is proposed to complete the action plan, which is an integral part of the Strategy, with new actions designed to ensure the effective achievement of the objectives proposed in this document.
