Head of the Records and transport examination Department of Ceadir Lunga and his accomplice detained by NAC

Head of the Records and transport examination Department of Ceadir Lunga was arrested by officers of the General Territorial Department “South“of NAC on suspicion of passive corruption.

He was caught red-handed while receiving Euro 200 from a citizen for issuing him a driving license.
A teacher from the same locality was also arrested as an accomplice of the official. He is presumed to “have brokered the transaction”.

A criminal case on influence peddling was started against the man.
If found guilty, the suspects risk imprisonment up to 10 years with a fine of up to MDL 60, 000.

NAC officers actions are conducted with the supported of anti-corruption prosecutors.
