The Chisinau Court (Ciocana seat) ordered the preventive arrest measure for 25 days in the case of the judge and lawyer detained by officers of the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) on March 19, 2025 for corruption. The court's decision was made at the request of the prosecutors from the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor's Office, who presented relevant evidence regarding the suspects' involvement in acts of corruption that affect the integrity of the act of justice.

We remind that the NAC officers and the prosecutors from the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor's Office conducted about 30 searches within 12 criminal cases on acts of active corruption, passive corruption and influence peddling in aggravating circumstances. The actions took place in several regions of the Republic of Moldova.
