New searches, carried out by the NAC officers and prosecutors in cases of electoral corruption and illegal financing of political parties

The officers of the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) and prosecutors of the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor's Office are carrying out criminal investigation actions in Chisinau and in several localities in the districts of Orhei, Rezina and Nisporeni to document the illegal acts of electoral corruption and illegal financing of political parties, committed by persons in the interest of a criminal group organized.

According to the facts investigated, several people would have accepted and received illegal remuneration for supporting some political formations and individuals, participating as organizers and coordinators in various political actions, but also for compromising the election of the President of the Republic of Moldova and the constitutional referendum, the actions being executed to the detriment of the principles of the rule of law.

Following the searches carried out, multiple discussions on mobile applications regarding the support of some political formations and persons in exchange for illegal remunerations, as well as other objects that demonstrate the involvement and active participation of a group of people in the actions of electoral corruption and illegal financing of the parties.

The NAC actions are carried out under the procedural leadership of the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor's Office.
