Another visit to the NAC. The institution hosted a public association and representatives of the Cahul Local Transparency Council

A working meeting took place at the National Anti-corruption Centre at the initiative of the representatives of the Association for Combating Information Isolation "ECOU" and the members of the Cahul Local Transparency Council.
Among the topics discussed during the visit were:
- The mission, way of organization and attributions of the NAC;
- The role of the NAC in preventing and fighting corruption;
- Interaction mechanisms with civil society;
- Good practices for working with local authorities.
The head of the General Directorate on Corruption Prevention of the NAC, Lidia Chireoglo, welcomed the initiative of the visitors and made a presentation of the institution, in which she spoke about the importance of raising community awareness regarding the promotion of integrity and prevention of corruption, as well as the integrity standards implemented by public institutions .
Also, topics related directly to integrity control, institutional integrity assessment, application of the integrity test, managerial responsibilities regarding integrity assurance, implementation of the integrity plan, managerial responsibilities regarding the implementation of internal control, tools for identifying corruption risks and risk factors.
The guests were also informed about the importance of reporting acts and manifestations of corruption to the National Anti-corruption Hotline 080055555, the normative and institutional framework regarding whistle-blowers, as well as the method of reporting corruption risks within the laws on the RELAWED platform.
The documentary event was organized with the support of the " Strengthening the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Mechanisms in the Republic of Moldova" project, co-financed by the European Union, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Government of Great Britain and implemented by the International Cooperation Agency of Germany (GIZ).
