Four people were detained in a traffic case of influencing the issuance of driver's licenses.

The NAC officers today detained four people in a case of influence peddling, they are suspected of mediating the process of fraudulently obtaining driving licenses, starting with the identification of candidates for obtaining driving licenses and respectively organizing the entire process of perfecting the preceding documents, but and theoretical and practical exams.

Thus, the NAC documented the act committed by one of the suspects who allegedly claimed to have influence over the employees of the Transport Registration and Driver Qualification Section in Comrat and that he could induce them, against 1300 euros, to favour one of the candidates to support with passed the driving test in category C. Also, he claimed 4000 lei for the preparation of the package of necessary documents - the medical certificate and the certificate regarding the execution of additional practice hours - without the physical presence of the candidate.

During the criminal investigation, 1000 euros and 4000 lei were transmitted under the NAC control, establishing that the suspect was in contact with several accomplices who would provide him with data about those wishing to obtain driving licenses by evading legal procedures. Today, searches were carried out at 3 accomplices of the suspect, as a result of which 80 thousand lei, in different currencies, the provenance of which is to be established, as well as medical and driving school graduation certificates, issued in the names of some third parties. Currently, four people are detained for 72 hours and are to be placed in isolation.

Criminal investigation actions take place under the procedural leadership of the Cahul Prosecution Office.
