An employee of "Exdrupo" is being investigated by the NAC and AP in a case of passive and active corruption, being suspected of rigging tenders in his own interest

A sector head of the "Exdrupo" Road and Bridge Exploitation Directorate within the Chisinau City Hall is under criminal investigation for passive and active corruption, acts committed in the context of the organization of public procurement procedures. The man is suspected of favoring his own company in the tenders organized by the enterprise.

According to the accumulated materials, during the years 2020-present, the suspect would have sent sums of money to some people in the management of the company, equivalent to a certain percentage of the signed contracts, to organize the rigging of public procurement procedures in the interest of the company, managed by him from the shadows, through interposed persons, including his relatives. In this way, considerable damages were caused to the municipal enterprise.

On December 19, the NAC officers and anti-corruption prosecutors conducted searches at the headquarters of some legal entities, but also at the suspect's home, cars and office. Currently, the man is being investigated at large.

The Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office is conducting the criminal investigation.
