A number of employees from the Public Services Agency were summoned by the NAC and anti-corruption prosecutors to be heard in the cases, initiated for corruption on issuing cadastral acts. The eight persons are expected today, at 9 o’clock, in the headquarters of the NAC.
The officials are suspected of passive corruption and influence peddling., after allegedly accepting financial means from the organizer of the corruption scheme at issuing permissive acts, necessary for real estate transactions. They are investigated in several corruption cases, documented by the NAC officers and prosecutors during September-October 2021.
At this stage, fourteen real estate agents are criminally investigated for active corruption and influence peddling. They are charged for being involved in the corruption scheme, organized by a real estate agent, through which they obtained cadastral acts eluding legal norms though a simplified procedure.
We remind, that yesterday, a person was arrested for 30 days, after evidence was found regarding the organization of the corruption scheme. Judicial control has been ordered against a real estate agent for a period of 60 days, and 12 people are being investigated at large, following the conclusion of the plea agreements. They shall cooperate with the investigation.
The anti-corruption prosecutors are conducting the criminal investigation.
