Assets, worth about 58 million lei, seized by the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency of the NAC in several files

The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) within the NAC announced that it has seized assets worth about 58 million lei. These are the assets of dubious origin that were seized within several criminal cases.

Thus, during the parallel financial investigations, the CARA has seized assets as follows: 2 social equity, 8 residential constructions, 2 non-residential constructions, a residential and 2 non-residential premises and a car.

We remind, that this year, the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency has seized illegally obtained assets, in the amount of around 800 000 000 lei.

The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency is an autonomous subdivision within the National Anticorruption Center, specialized in carrying out parallel financial investigations, freezing criminal assets, valuation, administration and disposal of criminal assets.
